The Southampton City Art Gallery have this painting ‘The Joy Wheel, Mitcham’ in their art collection. The item was purchased for the gallery in 1996 to enable them to represent Turner within their wider collection of works by Camden Town artists. It was one of a number of works by Turner which were exhibited at the Piano Nobile Gallery in September 1996.
The painting is not currently on display but people can arrange an appointment to see it.
